there are certain life lessons that apparently are best learned if the learning is an every day experience.
today’s life skill, dear reader, involves a fork, some food, and your mouth. that’s right: regular meals.
life lesson no. 39:
the human body requires nurishment at regular intervals.
failure to fuel your tank results in unpleasant effects such as:
failure to focus, dizziness, vision impairment, increased laughter, delayed mental activities, foolish verbal activities, rash decisions, and, in severe occasions, elevated irritability.
take care, dear reader, and attempt to retain life lesson no. 39 so that the next time a poor decision is born, you might consider a meal as your mind’s medication.

together, we’re almost as smart as one person.
yours truly, speaking to The Child [aka younger sister], after a day of mental slowness. -
taking an evening stroll with the child a few evenings ago, the sight of a vehicle caught my eye.
in front of an your local neighbour’s house, sat a bobby in his car, observing the night’s activities.
as the scene attracted my stare, i also glimpsed flowers. beautiful flowers. my hands tingled, and inwardly, the blossoms were mine.
at this instant, the question asked itself: where do the boundaries lie?
say one were to borrow a rose from tim and wanda, one’s friendly neighbours. perhaps the police, hoping to see a crime, were to see this summer activity.
is it possible to be pulled over for flower-knapping? would a citation be issued for this action?
flower-knapping is a common “offense” or hobby to humans, animals and seasons. common offenders include: musicians, deer and Winter. similar to kid-napping, the act of taking floral friends for oneself can be considered wrong in some circles.
take note, and if you choose to participate in knapping some of your local buds, do it with discretion, and above all, be on the lookout for your law enforcement chums.

I’ll put your rice with the flowers you probably stole.
The Child, offering a meal to me, upon seeing the dried floral arrangement on my dashboard. -
the direction we choose hugely depends on the direction we have come from.
-
tonight, my ears made a new friend.
this is beauty. it feels like april, fresh and blue. cooling, like a clean breeze.
-
lost within,
spring-lit woods
emerald shores of rest.
softly stroll
to pine-ward crowds
faithful friends, from youth. -
with the leaves and flowers, music returns.
-
life returns in the spring.
-
freedom is
a state of mind,
decision owned
to persevere.
freedom calls
as amber fills
the empty arms
which loom ahead.
freedom comes
as summer skies
expand, as open
lakes above.
-
these are a few of my favourite things.
cherry blossoms
young spring sunshine
the first sleepy smile of a morning
the perfect latte
coatless strolls
laughing eyes
flowers picked for me
oh springful bliss.
-
outgoing and social?
why yes.
an example might include:an afternoon passed in the company of spring blossoms and ducks, trolleying about, lost within the countless wanderings of an internal nature.
-
thank you spring for returning, and gracing us with your presents [flowers, leaves and life!]
-
wisdom, dear readers, wisdom.
consider your introverted friends, and use caution and patience in dealing with them.
